A Japanese thread for a centuries-old tradition. Sashiko is a traditional Japanese embroidery technique, originally used to reinforce and repair fabrics with small, even stitches. Over time, these functional stitches evolved into beautiful geometric patterns, transforming Sashiko into a decorative art that remains just as relevant today.

Daruma Sashiko threads are made in Japan and specially developed for this technique. Made from 100% cotton, they have a distinctive thickness and texture that allow each stitch to be clearly defined and stand out beautifully against the fabric. Each skein contains 40 metres of thread and is available in a wonderful palette of 29 colours, ranging from traditional shades to brighter, more contemporary tones.
